What type of Cryptocurrency are we going to be Mining ⛏️ with Kryptex?
You will be mining Bitcoin
Thanks so much sir for this training…
Do you need to do anything after four hours like in stormgain?
No. Just make sure the software is running in the background
Eye-opening! What if there’s a blackout? Thanks.
It will stop mining.
Whatever you mined so far, will be in your account. When you restart the software, mining continues.
Thanks!
And next question….Does it depend on constant internet?
Yes, you need internet. However, it does not consume data, as your laptop do much of the work
Thanks! Most grateful.
Thank you
Sir, good day sir. Thank you for all the lesson so far. It was an eye opening.
Sir, before we began the training, you told us that you will will be telling us about validator. And Nodes but that didn’t happened again. though you have your reasons.
But if there is a way to just throw a little light please, I will appreciate Sir.
Hello Pastor Emmanuel, Sorry if I didn’t explain the terminology well enough. A blockchain validator is someone who is responsible for verifying transactions on a blockchain. Once transactions are verified, they are added to the distributed ledger which forms the blockchain. Basically, this process is what is known as mining in Proof-of-Work blockchains like BItcoin, but called validators in Proof-of-stake blockchains like Solana.
Validators are paid with coins or tokens of that particular network. Each validator represents a network node.
So when you start mining a cryptocurrency or you operate a node, then you help in validating transactions on that network. This is advanced for this class, but we can use the simple mining software shared here (esp kryptex), to become network operators on the bitcoin blockchain.
